...of all this motherfucking snow. For reals...
...I mean, I dig winter, and I sure as shit prefer it to NY summer, with its 90-plus temps and 90-plus humidity, day after day after day after...
Well, you get the picture.
But this is the damned snowiest winter in my neck of the bloody woods since, if memory serves, the late 80s.
I don't suffer from SAD, but having to be so careful as I walk to and from my commuter train, due to all the Goddamn patches of ice the motherfucking city won't eradicate is stressing me the hell out. I already fell once on snow this winter, back on Jan. 2, and I *still* feel pain in my hamstring from it. But added to my work stress and heartache stress, I'm feelin' a lot like:
::Sighs::
Still, I'm ready to laugh about it...
I love this weather too, but I'm ready for spring - NOW!
ReplyDeleteBe well, be safe and think spring!
Well, I like the cold, I'm just tired of slipping on ice and snow! :-)
DeleteI've never experienced snow, so I can't imagine what it must be like to deal with the crazy weather you have right now! Temps have been getting as high as the eighties here... *thud*
ReplyDeleteAck!
DeleteI like snow for the first day or two..but then it starts to melt...and then it starts to get annoying. It looks pretty but it's not practical. However, I'm not sure which I prefer - all your snow or all the rain we've had here in the UK that's flooded EVERYTHING...grrr. Yeah, it's catastrophic that people are being evacuated from their homes, but what about the wild life! You never hear about that in the news. Roll on Spring... :)
ReplyDeleteI'd heard that y'all were being deluged. Hope things are safe for all concerned!
DeleteI know right?!?!?! I pinched one of these pics for FB. I wish I could get that GIF to work on Facebook too. that's hilarious! I'm so wicked sick of this crap and we have MORE coming tomorrow. My hometown got walloped the other night with 15"....my side of the bridge escaped with only about 6" or 7".
ReplyDeleteSorry, JoJo - reading that you're "wicked" sick made me LOL. ;-)
DeleteOh man, that nun picture had me laughing so hard. We haven't even had any snow here, all we're getting are gale force winds and a load of rain, so floods everywhere. I'd rather have the snow.
ReplyDeleteI think it all rather sucks, in excess, don't it??? :-)
DeleteYou know that swearing is therapeutic, right? It's always been my excuse...I'm sorry you fell and are still hurting, that's totally not OK with me. But you're well on your way from a therapy stand-point ;-)
ReplyDeleteI was sad to hear that you're not joining us this year, but thanks for letting us use your wonderful theme reveal idea. Truly great, and people are so excited.
Ok, so down to it What book are you working on? Which god and or goddess? Cuz it was a while I ago I read That Fatal Kiss (PEOPLE - THIS IS A FUCKING FANTASTIC READ! Go read my review on Amazon (and the others) and you'll know exactly why. I'm not kidding. This amazing chick can make you laugh your ASS off in a pronunciation guide for god's sake...)
Mina, miss you girl. Know you're busy. It damn well better be on that next book or I'll come throw SNOWBALLS on you. Well, unless I'm visiting my crush, Hades, and there's no snow to be found...

A. You're a doll and I heart you! ((((((((((Tina))))))))))
DeleteB. My swearing therapy is an ongoing treatment. ;-)
C. Ooooh, you got me good with that question. The current project's mostly contemporary supernatural romance short stories (two) and one which drops in on Hades and Persephone to see how married life's treating them.
Yes!!! Enough already! They've already added 2 and a half days onto the end of my girls' school year. I'm now taking ibuprophen everyday because my shoulder's killing me from shoveling and chopping ice. I'm with you, I'm done!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've had to drug-up to ease the ache in my leg, too. Boo! :-(
DeleteI am all set with the snow. Our flight to sunshine was canceled on Sunday because of snow (something about a blizzard and 12 inches coming that the planes can't fly in) and rescheduled for tomorrow (and yet we're having more snow)... so yeah. Not feeling the love for the white stuff right now.
ReplyDeleteAnd now... I must go shovel... again. We're currently getting 2-3 more inches of the heavy slushy wet stuff. *sigh*
Gah!!!!! Hope you were able to take your trip!
DeleteThese are all great pictures! I'm really sick of snow too. If it had a face, I'd punch it in the nuts.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Valerie
LOL, do it anyway!!!!!
DeleteThundersnow here last night. Would go well with Venutian metal snow.
ReplyDeleteWe had thundersnow one night, too. It was surreal. But kinda awesome.
