Jewelry ~ Aphrodisiacs from A to Z

Jewelry has been used to adorn the human body for, like, forever. (Well, at least since 75,000 years ago, according to Wikipedia.) It's also been given as a peace offering from man to woman since the first fella left the toilet-seat up and his gal sank into the bog in the middle of the night. Or, you know, the caveman equivalent. (Probably.) But it's not only given to placate, it's also given as a sign of love, to show another she (or he) is cherished. (Or desired. Sometimes both.) (Both, if you're lucky.)

Look, this one doesn't really require a lot of analysis, does it? Shiny! We likey!

But seriously, folks; you make a gal feel cherished and/or desired and it's bound to get her motor running. And what sane, hot-blooded straight guy/homosexual gal/other variants on lovers-of-the-ladies doesn't want that?

    I guess jewelry often looks kind of cool, but I've always thought that it was impractical expense that appeals primarily to vanity. Relatively inexpensive gaudy colorful costume jewelry is something I like more than very expensive baubles. Of course if I were obscenely rich then I'd be more open to buying my wife expensive jewelry.

    The only jewelry Russell ever bought was for his daughter. He didn't get his ex wife's ring, and he didn't get mine either, although he had consented to go look at rings with me. I just happened to find exactly what I was looking for when he was on the road and he told me to get it so I did.

    I think the only way this isn't an Aprhodisiac is if it's bought as an "I'm sorry" thing... or as in a "Don't tell my wife thing".

    I'm with Arlee on this one. I have gotten some exotic jewelry (hand turned) during my travels that costs next to nothing and I love it.

    You'll have to know if the buy me jewelry link works! I'm fairly inexpensive to buy jewelry for...my fave metal is silver. Then again I am partial to white gold and even though I've never had any I wouldn't turn platinum away lol. Yep...shiny, me likey. ;)

    I love jewelry, preferably a unique color or design. I'm one of those annoying non-conformists who never wanted a diamond ring, though I now have a black diamond ring I bought myself. Everyone has been horrified when I've said I bought my former "engagement ring" myself. At least that means I got to keep it!

    @Arlee - I have more costume jewelry than anything else. My most treasured piece is the bracelet my kid bought me at his elementary school's holiday shop, years ago. It couldn't have cost him more than $10 but it's priceless, to me.

    If a man ever gave me jewelry I'd smack him upside his stupid head, then shove the thing down his throat. I only like jewelry that I buy for me. No one else knows what I like, they think they do, but they don't. Only I get to adorn my body the way I want. The only jewelry I wear from others is from my mom or my sisters. even then its rare that I like it.
